Ulrich Rust is the new technology manager at Gerolsteiner. After 17 years in this position, Bernd Engelhaupt is going into retirement.

 

Gerolstein, 31st Mai 2007. On 1st June, Ulrich Rust (43) takes the succession of Bernd Engelhaupt in the technology management of Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG. From now on, Rust is in charge of filling/logistic, technology and environment. After 17 years of activity, Engelhaupt leaves the company for retirement.

 

On 1st February, Ulrich Rust entered the company to assure a smoothly office surrender with Bernd Engelhaupt. Beforehand, the graduated food technologist and technical business administrator collected extensive experience in the beverage industry. In the framework of different leading functions within the Radeberger Gruppe AG he was among other things responsible for the entire reorganization of the technology and logistic of the Kölner Verbund breweries. That way, he protected their competitiveness by the creation of flexible and efficient structures and processes. In his last job, he was active in the management of the Actien brewery of Dortmund and was responsible for the functional area quality, technology, technical controlling, environment and procedures.

 

Dr. Michael Dietzsch, chairman of the advisory board of Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG: "We're glad to have found in Mr. Rust a so skilled person for the technology of the company. Together with his colleagues Croseck and Schwarz, he will strictly dedicate himself for the advancement of a mineral water specialist to the market leader of natural non-alcoholic beverages."

 

At the same time Bernd Engelhaupt received in the framework of a ceremony recognition for his achievements from Dr. Dietsch: "He's a real pioneer of the beverage industry. Not only Gerolsteiner, but also the whole well sector was dynamized by his performance."

 

Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co is the leading company in the German mineral water branch. Based in the Vulkaneifel, the company earned with 800 employees a net goods turnover of 208.8 million euros in 2006.
