International business is continuing to grow in significance for Gerolsteiner Brunnen: Already in 2010, 20 bottles of Gerolsteiner mineral water were sold around the world every second. The mineral water producer intends to further strengthen its position on the international mineral water market with an individual 0.75 lightweight glass bottle. The handy glass bottle is already used in the USA and will be introduced to all the international markets Gerolsteiner supplies in the medium term.
"Like the 1.0 litre PET bottle that is already established in Germany, the similarly designed lightweight glass bottle sets itself apart from the range of bottles on the German market," as Axel Dahm, CEO of Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG, stated. "The high quality bottle fulfils the requirements of a modern glass bottle for the premium mineral water market and highlights the high quality standards of Gerolsteiner."
High quality, sturdy and light, the 0.75 litre lightweight glass bottle is suitable for retailing and the out of home market. The clear, modern label has detailed information on the minerals and substances it contains, as well as information on the tradition of the mineral water producer and the quality of its products. "The success of Gerolsteiner mineral water also lies in its source," as Axel Dahm explained. "Thanks to its volcanic origin, Gerolsteiner mineral water naturally contains 2,500 mg of minerals and trace elements per litre. One litre of Gerolsteiner therefore already covers a third of daily calcium and a quarter of daily magnesium requirements."
