Spring water stems from subterranean water resources and, likenatural mineral water, it is bottled directly at the spring site. But unlike natural mineral water, it need not have any demonstrable effects on health, nor does it need to contain any specific and consistent amounts of minerals. Official approval is also not required. The same standards that apply to tap water also apply to spring water.
Spring water is subject to the same standards as tap water.
