Natural mineral water

Natural mineral water stems from underground sources that are protected from pollution. It is of original purity and characterized by its natural mineral and trace element content, which makes it nutritionally beneficial. The level of mineralization must remain stable within the range of natural fluctuations.

The fundamental elements of mineral water may not be altered. Mineral water must be bottled at the source. It is the only foodstuff inGermany that requires official approval.

Every German citizen drinks 135 liters of mineral water a year on average. That makes mineral water the most popular non-alcoholic beverage in Germany.
