Fluid balance in the body

The human body consists largely of water. Every day we lose 2 to 2.5 liters of water via defecation, through the skin and through the lungs. This fluid is replaced by consuming food, especially liquids.

Nutritionists thus recommend drinking 1.5 to 2.5 liters of water a day.
