Bottling

Mineralwasserabfüllung beim Gerolsteiner Brunnen

Once a natural mineral water has received its official seal of approval, there are explicit rules that regulate bottling:

  • Natural mineral water must be bottled directly at the source to guarantee that consumers get water of original, unimpaired purity that is free of contaminants.
  • The bottle cap must indicate whether or not the bottle has remained sealed since bottling. This is for instance ensured by the freshness-seal on aluminum caps or by the safety-ring on caps made of plastic. Naturally all of Gerolsteiner's products are bottled in keeping with these strict specifications.
