We've had a very busy and successful summer season and we are pleased to bring you up to date on our current activities, new markets, and distributors as well as company news from Gerolstein.

New Team Line Up

Tim Schwietzke, International Sales

Introducing: Tim Schwietzke

Tim joined Gerolsteiner in August as a new member of our international sales team. With seven years experience under his belt, Tim will be a significant player in our international growth strategy. He will eventually be responsible for several markets and we are conficent that in the coming years Tim will strengthen and grow our market share and make Gerolsteiner the product of choice for many more consumers.

Leonie Petersen & Virginia Merle, International Marketing

Change in Marketing Team

Our International team has a new member. As of the the beginning of September, Leonie Petersen has taken maternity leave to focus her growing family. We wish her and her family a wonderful time health and happiness.

Virginia Merle, a member of Gerolsteiner’s German brand management team, is taking over Leonie's responsibilities. Virginia has a lot of marketing experience and will bring new ideas to our international marketing team while her strong management skills will enable her handle all projects efficiently.


Summer Fancy Food Show 2015, New York, USA

The Summer Fancy Food Show, North America’s largest specialty food & beverage trade event took place in New York from June 28th to 30th. Gerolsteiner was represented with its own attractive booth in the German Pavilion where our sparkling Mineral water was served in the lounge as well as during their cooking demonstrations.

Our partner conSup North America and one of their most important East Coast customers, Goldstar, welcomed many interested visitors and decision makers, including buyers from supermarket chains, store owners and F&B managers.

Sports Sponsorships in Tahiti

This summer our Partner in Tahiti - ETS Océania initiated several sponsorships to Keep their fellow Tahitians properly hydrated during athletic  activities. In addition to hosting the Gerolsteiner Canoe Race for the third consecutive year. Gerolsteiner became an official partner of the Polynesian Federation of Triathlon and the Tamarii Punaruu Club, which is considered the best cycling club in Tahiti.

Finally, the Policemen Sport Team are now training and competing with Gerolsteiner colors. Naturally we wish them every success!

Visit from Russia

In early September a delegation from our Russian distribution partner, Superbeer/ Russian Tradition Group visited us for two days. They enjoyed a special tour of our state-of-the-art production facilities given by our Plant Manager. Our visitors learnt first-hand  about the special geology and volcanism in the Gerolstein Region: all was lively explained by a prominent geologist. The visit was topped off with a day trip to Luxemburg hosted by an experienced city guide.

Superbeer/ Russian Tradition Group have successfully distributed Gerolsteiner products throughout the Russian Federation since 2013.

IDEA World Fitness Expo, Los Angeles, USA.

Building on last year’s success at the IDEA World Fitness Convention, we once again participated in this annual event for the professional fitness community. Held in Los Angeles from July 15th – 19th, 2015, this three-day Expo hosted over 300 exhibitors representing fitness equipment, apparel, licensed training techniques (e.g. Zumba), nutrition, and wellness brands, including food and beverage products. Over 10,000 personal trainers, group fitness instructors, mind/body professionals, yogis, bodybuilders, gym owners and managers and fitness/wellness bloggers attend the Convention.

Gerolsteiner set up a double booth so attendees could enjoy samples, and watch our production video. We also hosted our revealing experiment that shows the acid-reducing properties of the bicarbonate in Gerolsteiner mineral water. We introduced our new interactive ‘mineral cubes’  - each representing the principal minerals in our water, these eye-catching cubes drew attendees into our booth. We also promoted a Facebook Giveaway to encourage attendees to join us on that important social media platform.

Many attendees who tasted Gerolsteiner for the first time last year told us they were now loyal consumers and once again we were able to introduce our sparkling mineral water to more potential loyal fans.

Save the Date: ANUGA 2015, Cologne, Germany

ANUGA, the world's leading food fair for the retail trade, food service and catering markets takes place in Cologne, from 10th till 14th October. Gerolsteiner will be participating with its own booth in hall 8.1 (Booth No. E037/039). You are invited to join us either for a meeting or just to enjoy a refreshing glass of Gerolsteiner.
