Gerolsteiner Naturell stems from an exceedingly mild spring in the depths of the Vulkaneifel (Volcanic Eifel). It is both animating and soothing – as important as the air you breathe.

Due to its very low level of sodium (12mg/ liter) and minerals, it is especially suitable for pregnant women and children. Since baby’s organs are not yet fully developed, it is not yet able to utilize minerals and trace elements optimally. With its low but well-balanced level of mineralization, Gerolsteiner Naturell offers a major contribution towards the healthy diet of one’s offspring and is ideally suitable for the preparation of baby food.
Compared to adults, babies require a far larger amount of mineral water. Their bodies consist of 75 percent water. Initially, babies require 160 milliliters per kilo. Between the age of 4 months and a year they require roughly 100-150 milliliters per kilo of body-weight. For an adult this would equal a daily drinking-amount of about 7 liters.
